本中心定位為院級研究中心，工作屬跨學門之性質，故得依研究計畫或中心活動之需要，結合本院各相關系所師資人力與專業設備，共同合作、相互支援以從事電信、多媒體資訊、光電系統、以及其積體化電路之分析、設計、檢測、以及效能量測之研究與技術發展並建立資料庫中心以服務從事產學合作案之教師與廠商。本中心並將聯合校內外相關系所教學資源以進行高科技專業人才的養成、培訓以及認証課程之推廣訓練。

The System Measurement Center is a college-based department with faculty members in interdisciplinary fields. It integrates faculties with various professional fields for research and development in analysis, design, test, performance measurement, and applications in Communication Systems, Multimedia Information, Photoelectric Systems, and Integrated Circuits and engages in developing relevant database The System Measurement Center also combines faculty resources from College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, College of Engineering and the universities in southern Taiwan for professional training courses, creating the impetus for high-tech professional training and promoting the certified professional courses. The System Measurement Center executes many industry-academic cooperation projects and key features projects annually.
